TheBest.Food is a public, paid leaderboard for food businesses and products. You pay for placement above other listings. Rank is determined by eligible paid bids—not taste, quality, popularity or editorial judgment.
How ranking works
- New listings accept whole US-dollar bids from $5 through $999,999.
- Taking the all-time #1 position costs at least $5 more than the current top bid. Paying less places you at the highest position your bid can take.
- Equal all-time totals remain in chronological order. The listing that reached the tied amount first keeps the higher position.
- To raise an existing listing, submit its same canonical website URL. The new all-time total must be at least $1 above its current total, and you pay only the difference between the old and new totals.
- Payment must be successfully completed and verified before placement is claimed. An abandoned or failed checkout reserves nothing.
- Tracking parameters, fragments and common referral parameters are removed when determining whether URLs identify the same listing.
What you can list
- A legitimate food business, food or drink product, restaurant, bakery, supper club, pop-up, food truck, meal service, producer, grower or other lawful food-related offering anywhere in the world.
- The destination must be the business's official website, online store or stable product page. URL shorteners, invite links, messaging groups and unrelated affiliate redirects are prohibited.
- The destination must remain functional, safe and substantially related to the submitted name, description and image.
- No illegal goods, controlled substances, adult content, hate content, malware, counterfeit products, impersonation, pyramid schemes or deceptive offers.
- Alcohol, supplements, cannabis-derived products, infant food and other regulated categories may be restricted or rejected at our discretion.
Images and claims
- You must own or have sufficient permission to use every submitted name, logo, photograph, description and other asset.
- Images must accurately depict the listed business or product and may not contain nudity, graphic content, third-party watermarks or misleading before-and-after imagery.
- You are solely responsible for product, ingredient, nutrition, origin, environmental, health and safety claims. Claims must be lawful, truthful and adequately substantiated before submission.
- A listing is not a food-safety certification, health-department grade, endorsement, award, taste test or verification of any advertiser claim.
Categories
Choose the closest broad category: Restaurants & Pop-ups, Food Trucks & Street Food, Food Products, Drinks, Ingredients & Produce, or Other Food. We may correct, merge or change categories to keep the board useful. Category placement does not affect the all-time amount paid and does not guarantee visibility within a particular filter.
After you pay
- Your listing and bid amount become public. Visitors are sent to the canonical URL you submitted.
- Completed payments are final and non-refundable, except where required by law or where we expressly approve a refund.
- Your position and the time you hold it are not guaranteed. Another listing may outbid you immediately.
- Payment purchases leaderboard placement only. It does not guarantee impressions, clicks, customers, sales, press coverage or any other result.
- You remain responsible for applicable taxes and for complying with the Terms and Privacy Policy.
Enforcement
We may reject, hide, edit, recategorize or remove any listing that violates these Rules or creates legal, technical, safety or reputational risk. Removal for a violation does not entitle the payer to a refund. We may preserve the payment and transaction record for fraud prevention, accounting and legal compliance.
